Hi Boys and Girls.. I hope you have had a great week.
This is a new activity for you:  a video
You have to watch the video and answer these questions. You can send your answers to my e-mail or write them down here as comments. I’m eager to read you!
Deadline: November 22th, 2014

Questions:
  • How has technology changed in thirty years? Give 3 examples
  • Why do you think people consider computing technology a “science” now, but it wasn’t considered like that before?
  • Why does Nicholas Negroponte consider “One Laptop Per Child” such an important idea?
  • At the end of his talk Nicholas Negroponte said "My prediction is that we are going to ingest information. You're going to swallow a pill and know English. You're going to swallow a pill and know Shakespeare" Do you agree? How do you think this will affect education and specially language learning?

Clic here if you want to check the same talk with spanish subs HERE

And here you have more links to TED talks for you to entertain and learn. You can find almost any topic in here.

Sir Ken Robinson: Do schools kill creativity?

Sid Efromovich:  5 techniques to speak any language

Chen Lizra: The power of seduction in our everyday lives.

Some of them are already being translated, in case you get “desperate” because you cannot understand every single word, but there is also the possibility to watch them with English subtitles (at least some of them)
